Success Barriers. Is your business reaching its full potential? Could there be something getting in the way?

Not all roadblocks are created equal

I really wanted to share with you today three types of barriers that may be getting in the way of your success. Not all roadblocks are created equal, but it’s important to deal with them all and clear your path towards growth! What motivates Halo is working with businesses like yours to smash through their success barriers.

Overcome these and you’ll be away laughing!

The three types are:

Speed bumps

Those things which get in the way and momentarily distract you from the things that you should be working on.

Traffic lights

Those things that are slowing you down temporarily. You’ve got momentum and you’re heading in the right direction, but suddenly something changes which brings you to a sudden stop. For example, a “hot” prospect suddenly stops returning your calls.

Diversions

These are major events which require you to change direction and find an alternative way forward. The bridge is out, so you must find another way around or across the river!

As you go about your day consider this

What is taking your attention away from your important tasks?

Often, what’s urgent for other people around us will overshadow what is important for us and our business goals. This may be one of the roadblocks you need to deal with—whether it’s manifesting as a speed bump, a traffic light, or even a diversion.

So, list out anything you can think of that fits into those three categories. What are the things that are slowing you down, getting in the way, or stopping you? Out of those, identify the top three which, if you took action on right now, would have the biggest impact for you.

One of the best pieces of advice we can give is to identify and remove or reduce the things getting in your way, even if it requires some serious reflection. Some barriers are out of our control, but in most cases it is possible—with help to plot a path around or through them.
